New MRDs launched!

IFSA members are pleased to announce that the Minimum Requirements Documents (MRDs) for Crime Scene Investigation, DNA and Seized Drug Analysis have been updated to reflect current practices. The MRDs have been approved by the IFSA Board and are launched as of January 2021. The updates reflect considerable work undertaken by forensic experts around the world and reflects an internationally agreed position in providing guidance to emerging laboratories. This is important work and IFSA is proud to be able to use its collective expertise and knowledge to develop these significant documents.

The MRDs will now be translated into multiple languages and uploaded to the IFSA website, to be freely available to laboratories around the world.

Additional MRDs will be launched shortly.
